Variegated Purple & Green Wandering Jew, Tradescantia zebrina, Un-Rooted Cuttings

You are buying 5 cuttings of the Purple and Green Variegated Wandering Jew (Tradescantia zebrina) (AKA: Inch Vine or Inch Plant).  Each cutting is between 8 and 10 inches long; some will have roots already, others will not.  These are fast growing plants which root easlily in soil or water and these will give you a great start on a hanging basket or cascading container planting.

Wandering Jew is a succulent-stemmed plant that creeps and sprawls and trails all over itself to make a dense groundcover. The pointed oval leaves that clasp the stem alternately have hairy upper surfaces with a silky iridescent sheen. They are an intense violet on the underside and striped with pale silvery turquoise and dark burgundy-tinged green on top. The round stems are a watery seafoam green with burgundy spots and blotches.

Use them as container plants in any zone - they look great in hanging baskets - or as a ground cover in warmer zones.  You can even use them as ground cover in cool zones, as long as you save cuttings in the greenhouse (or house) each year for a new start the next spring!  These plants are cold hardy to zone 9; they will be cut down by a freeze, but will return the following spring when temps warm.
