Pink Mimosa Sensitive Vine, Touch-me-not, Sunshine Powderpuff

You are buying one Pink flowering Mimosa Sensitive Vine (AKA: Touch-me-not, Sunshine Powderpuff, Mimosa strigilosa (closely related to mimosa pudicaLIVE PLANT.  The plant is 4" - 8" tall/long and growing in a 4" container and will be shipped in the pot with the soil in tact.

This Florida native is an EXCELLENT GROUNDCOVER in warm, tropical zones (hardy to USDA zone 8) and wonderful addition to your native or butterfly garden.  In cooler zones, grow in containers and bring inside when temps turn cool - they do GREAT in hanging baskets!

What makes these plants FUN is how the leaves move and fold into a 'sleeping' position when touched.  Kids of all ages can't resist touching them just to see the leaves move!  What I really love about them is their beautiful flowers.  I think they are really striking, especially early in the day before the sun hits them.  The flowers are like perfect pink powderpuffs with yellow tips on the outside of the puff.  I just can't get enough of them and they bloom nearly all year long.

These plants are very tolerant of all types of soil from wet to dry and can handle both sun and shade. Excellent for xeriscapes.  Being in the Fabaceae family, they have the ability to 'fix' the nitrogen in the soil, so growing in poor soil is no problem!
