Red and/or Green Amaranthus PONY TAILS, Tassel Flower, Mixed Seeds

You are buying 100+ Red and Green Mixed, Amaranthus caudatus, "PONY TAILS" (Love-Lies-Bleeding, Tassel Flower) seeds PLUS planting instructions, including a color photo for seedling id.

(You may also purchase each color individually rather than the mix, see the drop down box below).

These seeds can be direct sown after danger of frost and can grow 3'-5' tall in a single season. It THRIVES IN FULL SUN, even in the brutal Florida full sun! You're getting a mix of the deep red and chartruese green ('Viridis') varieties which look GREAT grown together, but you can also buy each color individually.

Pony tails are so named because of the super long flower tassels that hang down 2'-3' long and sway lazily in the breeze all summer long!  These are sure to draw attention from all visitors to your garden and passersby on the street!

Needs full sun, this plant thrives in heat, humidity, drought and poor soil. They look stunning en masse. Self-seeding, so though they are an annual, they act like a perennial, with seedlings returning year after year. Blooms mid-summer to freeze. Flowers can be dried and used in dried flower arrangements!
