MOTHER OF THOUSANDS (cactus succulent) BABIES - Chandelier plant (Kalanchoe)

You are buying FIFTY (50) MOTHER OF THOUSANDS (cactus succulent) BABIES.

(Bryophyllum daigremontianum x delagoense, 'Houghton's Hybrid')

These are the small plantlets that form on the edges of the leaves.  You can see them in the photo as the small babies on the edges of the leaves on the plant. They are very small, but will grow fast during these warm summer months!  This is the most economical way to get a nice stand of these carefree plants started!

(Botanical Name: Bryophyllum delagoense x B. Daigremontianum, "Houghton's Hybrid")

Other common names: Chandelier plant Kalanchoe, Alligator plant, Mother of Millions

The picture shows a large, mature plant (on the left) and some of the blooms I had this past fall.

Although these wonderful plants can be grown as a houseplant in any zone; they can also be grown outside in zones 9a and warmer in full sun to part shade. These plants are EXCELLENT to grow for xeriscaping / very drought tolerant  - they will grow where nothing else will! I have tried for years to get flowers to grow near my mailbox/road to no avail until I planted these out there. Not only did they live - they have thrived on the heat, lack of water and traffic fumes - I love them! (You don't have to mistreat them to get them to grow, but don't overwater!)

These plants will reach up to 5' tall with beautiful orange 'chandelier' blooms in the fall/winter.  They multiply by the  'thousands' by growing 'babies' in their notched leaves.  An excellent classroom plant to show children the wonder of nature!

Each ADDITIONAL purchase of 50 babies is only $2.50! (they will all be combined into one package for shipping).

SHIPPING SPECIFICS:

These are available for shipping from June - September ONLY. These plantlets are shipped packed in damp vermiculite via First Class mail.  You can select Prioirty Mail if you'd like (for an additional charge), but I've had no problem with these going via First Class.
