You are buying 10 blooming size bulbs/croms for Crocosmia, Orange-Red Flowered,  (AKA: Montbretia). These are hardy to zone 6; suitable to grow as a container plant in colder zones or lift bulbs and store in a cool place overwinter.

Crocosmia are virtually pest and disease free. The butterflies and hummingbirds LOVE the stunning red-orange flowers which appear in the heat of mid-summer and, here in central Florida, last several weeks.

These plants are easy to care for, basically ignore them and let them grow. They will develop into nice and sturdy clumps with flower spikes that can reach up to 3 feet in length and can have up to 50 individual tubular flowers. They don't like wet feet - need well draining, sandy soil and full sun.

Crocosmia originate from South Africa. Some folks still refer to Crocosmia as Montbretia. This variety, 'Lucifer', is one of the most popular because of its brilliant color, nice foliage and vigorous growth.
