These are commonly known as Spider Flowers, Spider Legs, Grandfather's Whiskers, Sparkler Flowers; Botanically as Cleome hasslerana or Cleome Spinosa.

These are a VERY easy annual to grow from seed. They produce large flower clusters in shades from white to dark pink and violet. The long stamens and unusual seed pods give the flower a delicate, spidery look.  Attractive to Butterflies and Hummingbirds as well as hummingbird moths.  They bloom all summer until hard frost and can reach a height of 5 - 6 feet.

These beautiful flowers LOVE the FULL SUN but can also grow in partial shade.   Very easy to grow, low maintenance and a definate show-stopper in your garden!  Perfect for the back of a border or along a fence line!  These readily self-seed for more plants next year!
