One blooming size bulb of African Blood Lily (Scadoxus multiflorus, Haemanthus Multiflorus) AKA: PowderPuff Lily, Football Lily. These are large bulbs, 6.5" - 7" in diameter and 2.5" - 3" tall - be sure to check the size bulb you're getting before you buy elsewhere!

(Check drop down box below for discounts on larger quantities of these bulbs).

This plant has spectacular, large, red-orange Pom-Pom-like blooms that make it a fun addition to your landscape. You'll stop traffic with these in your front yard - everyone will want to know what they are! Blooming time varies (depending on zone and planting date) from late May through mid summer. After blooming, the foliage will stay year round in warmer climates. Hardy to zone 8, use as a container plant or dig bulbs and store overwinter in colder zones; no need to lift bulbs in warmer climates.

Reaching only 10-15 inches tall, use this in a low border, along a walkway, as a mass planting or plant in containers. They will multiply over time, giving you even more of these brightly colored blooms in subsequent years.  These plants grow well in well-draining soil (don't allow water to stand) in full sun or partial shade (they don't bloom well in deep shade).
