I get many people asking me "What would be a good plant for me to grow where I live". In most cases, I don't live where you do and it's hard for me to answer that question well. I can make suggestions based on what I've researched on a plant, but I don't have first hand knowledge of your area. For that, I suggest you turn to your local Cooperative Extension office. These are GREAT, and often under utilized, resources for information about native plants and plants that do well in your area. There are often Master Gardeners available for you to talk to, many even have gardens you can visit and they are often tied to a state university with expert knowledge of your state and climate. Give them a try!
If there are any that I've missed, please drop me a note at onalee@aol.com and I'll add them!
